You will be getting Rum, waterfalls and a floating bar in one day – this full-day excursion is 100% Jamaican. A tour of the rum factory and tasting of the Appleton Estate rum gets the day off to a great start. It is followed by a refreshing swim and frolic in the famous YS Falls followed by a boat ride over to the one and only infamous Pelican Bar. The day starts at the Appleton Estate. You will tour the factory that produces what many consider the finest rums in Jamaica. Learn about the distillation process, juice your cane and, of course, taste the honey-coloured rum. On to the cascading waters of the YS Falls, you’ll cool off in the refreshing waterfall pools with a swim. After lunch, guests board a boat and head to the Pelican Bar. This looks like a ramshackle hut set upon stilts, has to be seen to be believed. Standing on glittering waters, it’s the coolest bar in the world. Don’t forget to carve your name into the wood and if you have a flag handy, bring it out to barman Floyd. With luck, you might spot a few dolphins too.
